Statement of Faith

In a world of tolerance and diverse beliefs, I think it’s important to share the core of my faith. (Galations 1:6-9)

The foundation of my faith is based on the conviction that all Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, are fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, infallible, complete, and true. The Bible is the supreme and final authority, applicable to all of life, and bears witness to God’s redemptive and eternal plan through the Lord Jesus Christ.  On this foundation, I establish additional fundamentals of my faith.
(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

I believe in one God, the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect, holy, and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1-2, Hebrews 11:3, Nehemiah 9:6)

I believe that Jesus Christ, the living Word, became flesh through conception by the Holy Spirit and his virgin birth. Jesus, being fully God yet fully man, appeared in the flesh so we could know God. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. On the third day he arose from the dead, ascended into heaven where, now at the right hand of the God, Jesus lives forever as our Mediator and Intercessor.
(Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:18-25, John 1:14, Hebrews 1:2-3)

I believe the Holy Spirit’s work is to glorify Jesus Christ. He convicts us of sin and indwells our hearts. He gives new and eternal life to us, empowers and imparts gifts to us for service. He instructs and guides us into all truth, and seals us for the day of redemption.
(John 15:26, 16:8-11, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Ephesians 1:13)

I believe we are created in God’s image, yet separated from God and condemned by our sinfulness; our salvation is wholly dependent upon the work of God’s free grace. God credits his righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justifies them in his sight. Only those who are born of the Holy Spirit and receive Jesus Christ become children of God and heirs of eternal life by grace alone.
(Genesis 1:27; 2:15-17, Romans 3:10-12, 21-26, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:12, 2 Timothy 1:9)

I believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth a second time—to judge the living and the dead, and to fulfill the eternal plan of God. There will be a crown of righteousness for those who look for his coming, and that God’s kingdom will never end.
(Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 2 Timothy 4:8, Daniel 7:14)

In the meantime, the Lord Jesus Christ commands all believers to proclaim the gospel throughout the world and to make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19) God’s divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness.
(Matthew 28:19, 2 Peter 1:3-10)

  • Request Prayer

I have always had a conviction that a ministry will only succeed when it is founded on and supported by prayer. Since the establishment of my steps of faith to write and speak, I am eternally grateful to God for the spiritual support he has sent to me through many faithful prayer warriors.

One of the main reasons I built this website is so that people, like you, could confidentially have a safe place to leave prayer concerns. My passion is prayer and it would bring me joy to pray for you.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
