Have you watched the news recently? The news has been amazing lately! I heard that Scientists in Europe have found a new subatomic particle, a basic building block of the universe, discovered by theoretical physicist Peter Higgs who has researched since 1964. The Higgs boson (or sub-particle) has been labeled the “God particle” for its role in holding order to the universe. It’s incredible to think after studying a theory for almost 50 years that God would reveal a new sub-particle to prove there is an intelligent Being that holds the universe together.

Higgs told the symposium of fellow researchers: “It is an incredible thing that it has happened in my lifetime.” And I would say, this is an incredible discovery for science in our lifetime. For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6).

This scientific discovery proves scripture is true… there is order in creation, and God holds all things together by his powerful Word. (Colossians 1:16-17)

My heart is encouraged by the fact, that as we draw nearer to the last days before Christ’s return to establish of his kingdom here on earth, scripture says, there will be an out pouring of knowledge, as we have seen an advancement in technology and science. This out pouring of knowledge is for those who have accepted Jesus as your savior and confessed He is Lord. What took a team of individuals 50 years and countless dollars of money to discover, is available to you for free. God promises his Spirit to us…The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD— Isaiah 11:2

God is a promise keeper – though your world may be “rocked” or “rolling” when things are happening you just can’t explain; it’s good to know God remains our dependable Rock. We are not alone on this universe. When our lives feel like they are falling apart riddled with pain, fear, and doubt, we can trust there is a great big God who loves us, he cares, and he holds our lives together. We can look to him for direction, for wisdom and knowledge; God’s greatness minimizes our problems and increases our trust. Just call on his powerful Name…
